GRUMPS (GRandparents United for Madison Public Schools) is hosting a candidate forum on February 5. All 10 candidates have been invited; the 9 active candidates have all agreed to participate. This will be an opportunity to meet the candidates, learn about their backgrounds, their passions and their views on major educational issues, locally, statewide and nationally. The primary election is Feb. 19, 2019 and the general election is April 2, 2019.
Under Wisconsin law, voters do not need a reason or excuse, such as being out of town on Election Day, to vote absentee. Any voter who prefers to vote by absentee ballot may request one. You have several options for requesting an absentee ballot and casting your vote. You must be a registered voter to request an absentee ballot and you must show acceptable Photo ID before you can receive an absentee ballot.
